In 2010, CCAN formalized a partnership with the Canadian Association of Pathologists that will see a CCAN patient voice representative serve on the CAP-ACP Council. The Council is a body comprising pathologists representing various committees and organizations, as well as representatives from non-pathologist medical organizations.

The Canadian Association of Pathologists is a voluntary professional organization of laboratory physicians and scientists. The CAP’s mission is to provide national leadership in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine through the promotion of excellence in practice, education and research, and through the fostering of integrity and high standards of ethical behaviour.
